The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed in regards to the high range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due status sassa to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie status sassa and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The services stage produced for intervention experiences a higher inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to permit the servicing of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
